Dr. Tess Saarel, Chairman of Pediatric Cardiology at Cleveland Clinic, discusses ventricular arrhythmias and the prevention of sudden cardiac death in children, including guideline changes, prevention of sudden cardiac death in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy patients, challenges of placing ICDs in young patients, and the use of subcutaneous ICDs. The talk was presented at the Cleveland Clinic’s 4th Annual Advances in Pediatric and Congenital Heart Summit focused on Congenitally Corrected Transposition of the Great Arteries.
