We're back for another Geektown Behind The Scenes Podcast, and this episode we chat with Hair and Makeup Designer Susie Glass, who has recently been working on the Columbia Pictures & Blumhouse Productions movie 'Fantasy Island'.
Susie Glass is a New Zealand based hair and makeup designer who has been working in the world of film and television for over 20 years. Having started out in live current affair and nightly new on network tv she soon moved across into tv drama and movies. Her previous projects include films such as 'King Kong', 'Boogeyman', and '10,000 BC', along with tv shows such as the brilliant Starz series 'Spartacus' and upcoming Amazon drama 'The Wilds'. More recently, she worked as Crowd Makeup Supervisor on Disney's upcoming live-action 'Mulan' movie, and the new big-screen horror take on classic 70's tv show, 'Fantasy Island'.
In this new spin on 'Fantasy Island', the enigmatic Mr. Roarke makes the secret dreams of his lucky guests come true at a luxurious but remote tropical resort. But when the fantasies turn into nightmares, the guests have to solve the island’s mystery in order to escape with their lives. Michael Pena, Maggie Q, Lucy Hale, Jimmy O. Yang, Portia Doubleday and Michael Rooker star. The film is directed by Jeff Wadlow ('The Strain', 'Kick-Ass 2'), who also writes the movie alongside Chris Roach & Jillian Jacobs ('Truth or Dare').
