For years, women have suffered with the innate fear of walking alone in the dark. The darkness provides predators with the opportunity to lurk in the shadows and not be seen by their prey until it’s much too late. As women, we are taught not to walk on our own in the dark, to hold a key in between our fingers and learn techniques in order to fight off an attacker. Perhaps, however, it’s time that we start teaching men not to attack women to prevent future serial killers.
