Episode 115 - No Labels, No Limits podcast with Elizabeth Scott, PhD
Today, on our No Labels, No Limits podcast we extend a warm welcome to Elizabeth Scott, PhD. She is the founder of Brighter Strategies which provides thought leadership and high value organizational development consulting in support of a stronger social sector. Liz has provided training and consulting services in strategic planning, process-improvement, and human capital development for over 170 nonprofits and associations.
Liz shares with us the importance of building a strong supportive organizational culture, the value of culture and how aligning our values and defining successful behaviors will help our organization become more successful.
When asked why we should be so concerned with culture in today's world, she says, "This pandemic environment that we're in where everyone is suddenly working from home - it's really easy to feel disconnected. It's easy to feel that you are by yourself working in your home office, that you're maybe not part of that bigger team. And in reality, that's not true. You do have a team behind you, you do have an environment of individuals. And so I think organizations can use this time to begin to have some of these conversations around what is our new reality and how do we want to engage in a way that it might be a little different than how we engage in the office."
