Mia Mercado is a humor writer based in Kansas City. Her work has been featured in places like The New Yorker, the New York Times, Washington Posts’s The Lily, New York Magazine’s The Cut, Bustle, McSweeney’s, and Hallmark Cards. Her debut collection of funny non-fiction essays Weird but Normal explores the contradictions of being a person, sharing the awkward, uncomfortable, surprisingly ordinary parts of life. Weird but Normal comes out with HarperOne on May, 19, 2020.
