Do you feel like you're in a rut? We do.
Rather than giving you tips for getting out of a rut, today's episode is about riding it out. It's about feeling the flatness, the lows, and everything that comes with it.
Two takeaways that might help the ride:
1. Give yourself permission. (Permission to be in a rut, permission to just BE, permission to do things differently than usual.) You're having exactly the experience you're supposed to be having. Take it a day at a time. Remember the moon: no matter what phase it's in, it's still whole. The same is true for you.
2. Practice acceptance and being open. (Accepting yourself as is, accepting things outside of your control, accepting what is.) Be open to hope, open to loved ones, open to seeing God's hand in all of it. Remember the candle: sometimes the flame is strong and steady, and sometimes it gets blown around, twisting and flickering; either way, it always has an upward intention. Maintaining an upward intention regardless of what's going on (for us this speaks to faith) is what assists us through tough times.
These two practices are on repeat for both of us. Practice, practice, and practice again.
Much love from our rut to yours.
