As most of the world hunkers down at home, the need for energy has tumbled. The numbers are dramatic: Oil prices are down 66% from a year ago. In the U.S., demand for gasoline is the lowest it's been since 1968, and the average price at the pump is now just $1.86. But instead of helping consumers, the lower prices are imperiling the entire economy. Alex Eule is joined by Avi Salzman, who covers energy for Barron's.
