During this quarantine i got the chance to catch up on some of my TV favorite shows... One of them is Netflix"s "The Ranch". Here are my thoughts on it being a conservative sitcom in liberal Hollywood.
I am very sad to see it go. it was a very well produced sitcom about a ranch that is actually realistic. The Political humor Never Was A Disappointment , Beau's jokes about Hillary or Obama always got me. The show also gave country music a platform in the mainstream, something that hasn't been done since the Johnny Cash Variety show or HEE HAW.. This show gave many unknown artists a opportunity to get their music heard by millions. I follow a lot of them on IG and i saw several of them stoked about their music on this show. I think people have a certain stereotype about White, gun toting conservatives who drink beer and only listen to county music. This show changed that. It made people like me feel welcome to society or normal- not that i care but you get my point..
Anyway, highly recommend if you haven't seen it yet.
