Daryl Davis is an American R&B and blues musician, activist, author, actor, and bandleader. He is considered one of the best -- if not the best -- boogie-woogie piano players in the world. Daryl Davis has played with such legendary musicians as Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, B. B. King, and Bruce Hornsby.

He is also the subject of the 2016 documentary Accidental Courtesy: Daryl Davis, Race & America. Daryl Davis is also the author of the book Klan-destine Relationships: A Black Man's Odyssey in the Ku Klux Klan.

Daryl Davis explains how he decided to befriend Ku Klux Klan members and other white supremacists with the goal of getting them to disavow hatred, violence, and destruction.

Daryl Davis also shares what it is like to attend Ku Klux Klan hate rallies and the communication strategies he uses when speaking with and ultimately deradicalizing white supremacist terrorists. And of course, Daryl Davis reflects on the power of music and what it was like to perform with legends such as B.B. King, Chuck Berry and Jerry Lee Lewis.
