EP 61: Supporting Spouses During Deployments w/ Guest Stacy Shea
This month we are saluting our military in honor of Armed Forces Day with great guests who can provide helpful tips and knowledge that employers and HR champions can take in and apply when supporting those in our workforce who served in our military. Stacy Shea is the wife of a Navy SEAL, Thom Shea, and a powerhouse woman in her own right. In this episode we talk about what businesses can do to support employees whose spouses are deployed.
In this episode you’ll also learn a little more about the Honor Foundation from CEO Matt Stevens. Matt was a graduate in the first cohort when the Virginia Beach campus opened in the spring of 2016, where I was one of the original five coaches. Matt is a retired 26 year Navy SEAL Captain who is now leading The Honor Foundation which provides Special Forces Operators and support staff structured career transition support.
If you would like to learn how to become a sponsor for The Honor Foundation, visit their website at www.honor.org and donate today.
Now, be sure to head to our Next Gen Women in HR Facebook Group to ask your #brendathehrlady questions! I can’t wait to hear them.
