32 | Shedding Shame For Sustainable Social Change
I am so excited for today’s upload! A conversation with Corrine Stahl, a relationship coach I met through this most recent round of the Empaths in Business program. We recorded this episode during one of the first nights of the Black Lives Matter protests and instead of following our original plan, we ended up connecting and chatting about shame… and then pressing record to capture the conversation in the case you’ve been feeling the same. In addition to talking about the role of shame in creating sustainable change, we also talk about:
the ripple effect of your taking your power back
when being an empath is helpful and when it holds you back
the benefit of ‘letting yourself off the hook’
the ‘right or wrong’ mindset we have to challenge in life/business
the role of soverignty in social change
the shame cycle and how to catch yourself cycling
why shedding shame is the first step when it comes to creating the change we want to see
If you enjoy this episode, be sure to check out Corrine’s work: www.thecor.ca, she has also provided a worksheet for you to better understand the Shame Cycle and how it manifests for you.
