What does a church expect of its pastor? When a younger man follows an older man in the pastorate, this may create tension between a pastor and his church. Younger pastors, who are in a different season of life, have a God-ordained responsibility to train their young children. Older pastors whose children are no longer at home are usually more available for ministry.
