011 : Let's Talk About Race

I’m going to say upfront, I’m very uncomfortable as a white woman doing an episode about race & equality. 

However I’m willing to be a little awkward and fumble and mess up because I wholeheartedly believe this is way past due. 

From me personally as well as the white community in America as a whole. I am not claiming to be an expert, I am an absolute beginner. But, I didn’t want to carry on business as usual with the podcast without addressing this right now and also letting all of you know that I will continue to work towards becoming an ally both personally and professionally to the black community. 

Just like we talk about all the time in our businesses, change happens OUTSIDE your comfort zone. I’m willing to get uncomfortable here today for the sake of equality. REAL change. Even if, as a white person specifically, it feels awkward, will you join me?
