Episode 342: Flash Back

Ok, let’s try this again. This week the Regular hosts, plus adjunct Joe Derryl DePriest take a look at another of Barry’s long-time sentimental favorite films Flash Gordon (1980). In what might seem a set up doomed to repeat “The Willow incident” the gang actually find several things they like about the film ... in addition to the several aspects they did not so much go for.  It’s all good. The relative merits of Flash Gordon aside, they all love Sam Jones. As Everyone should. Particularly those who have seen Life After Flash the 2017 documentary (currently available on Amazon Prime) that both gives insights into the cult classic film and an overview of Sam’s often tumultuous journey following his early brush with fame. Following the episode is The Regular Joes 2017 interview with Sam Jones ... which at times can easily be confused with Sam interviewing them. Seriously, if you get the chance you have to hang out with this guy.
