The Unapologetically Black Podcast
Society & Culture
Colourism is a concept that has affected black women for decades and is an issue that has affected so many of us across generations. In this episode, the Dope Black Women discuss their personal experiences of colourism; from not being able to find the right shade of foundation to being considered 'less desirable' in the dating world.
They also explore the rise of skin bleaching and the prominence of this in the western world compared to Asia and Africa. Most importantly, the women discuss how we can move this conversation forward and how we can unite together as black women, not matter what shade your skin is.
The Dope Black Women Podcast is all about bringing black women together to discuss the topics that matter to us, connect and support with each other and through our digital sisterhood.
