The Dope Black Music Playlist

Music is so prominent in black culture and brings us all together at the happiest times of our lives, but also the most difficult times. In this episode Leanne, Liv and Shan share their picks for the Dope Black playlist - from songs that make them feel empowered, to songs that represent a significant moment in their lives to songs that people would be surprised that they like (there are some real wildcards in there).

They also dive into hip hop feminism. With the rise of black female MC's in hip hop, reclaiming the narrative and owning their sexuality, our Dope Black Women as the question: 'can hip hop ever be feminist?'
