How Our Values Shape Us Later In Life, with My Father Jack Oholendt
Today I’m joined by a very special guest, my father Jack Oholendt! He is a Certified Strengths and Conditioning Coach, Teacher, and Motivational Speaker and was kind enough to share some of the wisdom he’s gained throughout his life with myself and my listeners.
The values we learn early on in life are ones we tend to pass down when we eventually leave the nest and have children of our own. Empathy, kindness and personal development have always been a huge part of my life and have been something my parents actively taught me and my siblings growing up.
My father has an interesting perspective on family values as someone who grew up with a parent in the military and travelled a lot throughout his early years. In this episode, we get into the lessons that were instilled in my dad from his own parents, his advice for others who started a family at a young age, as well as what the transition to becoming a grandparent has been like.
