What happens, when our identity is placed in a belief, instead of a solid foundation (because beliefs grow and evolve), when someone challenges a belief, the ego thinks that person is attacking THEM as a person (instead of simply holding a different belief).

That's where the attacks and name calling actually come from...a place of insecure ego due to a misplacement in identity...
