Psalm 46 (NIV)
It’s a familiar verse . . . “be still and know that I am God.” But how many of us are familiar with its application. We’re reminded in times like theses how powerful the psalms can be in our lives. We only have to let them be so. Meditate on today’s psalm not only throughout the day but throughout the week.
----------REFLECT----------
1 - Consider the ways that you’re experiencing trouble. In what particular ways do you need God to be your refuge?
2 - The Psalmist depicts God as a fortress, a place where there is peace despite wars raging around it. Petition the Lord to bring peace to the places those places of trouble in your life.
3 - Pause this podcast, or plan a few moments today, to be still before the LORD. Allow yourself to be aware of his goodness and his delight in you.
