The Nunnehi

Cherokee tradition tells of a race of immortal spirit people who live underground or on top of high mountains that have no timber growing on them, or balds, that one finds along the Tennessee/North Carolina state line. Today we tell a tale about some pioneer children and their encounter with these people, the Nunne’hi.
