It seems like everywhere these days that we are confronted with things we don’t understand, new challenges, different expectations... and I’ve been noticing I’m experiencing grief — grief for myself, others, and even globally. Pain everywhere, and that’s unknown territory for most of us.
Today, grief expert Yvonne Heath shares how to ‘just show up’ and find more heart, happiness, and humor because life is already serious enough. She also shares:
• How to acknowledge and allow yours and others feelings, thoughts and emotions,
• Ways to support yourself and others by just showing up,
• How to be okay with someone going through grief including yourself
• How to develop random acts of kindness to change pain and other challenges into joy plus so much more.
More about our guest: Yvonne Heath is married to her best friend Geordie, and has three amazing children. She has been a registered nurse since 1988, working in ten different hospitals in the US and Canada in many areas, including emergency, intensive care, chemotherapy, and hospice.
Yvonne became disheartened by society’s reluctance to talk about, plan, and prepare for grief and how it causes excessive suffering in life and at the end of life. She suffered too, not knowing how to do it differently. In 2015, she left her nursing career to share her message as an inspirational speaker and share her wisdom via her book ‘Love Your Life to Death,’ She is a TV and Radio host and through social media.
She has been featured in several publications, podcasts, and other media. Her TEDx Talk—Transforming Grief, by Just Showing Up—has received high praise and is now passionate about her ‘I Just Showed Up’ movement.
