In this week's session, I deep dive into the movie Blindspotting which focuses on the impact of police violence, institutional racism, and gentrification are all having on the city of Oakland. I break down Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) and some tips to help manage the symptoms and frequency of anxiety. I take a good look at the links between racism and how it affects Black Americans and how it can reinforce and maintain anxiety. I also discuss a mindfulness and acceptance-based approach to help us manage our anxiety in the face of racism.
