Being away from home, dealing with emotions and bad planning on my part
Spending time away from home and being away from my wife and children is never easy, but sometimes this has to be done to get a property project finished and over the line.
One of my investment spots is 275 miles from home, and it means when I need to visit this site its does take its toll on me with the time travelling and days spent away from home.
We all feel emotions that consist of high's and low's during our property builds and sometimes its OK to feel weak and feel like you need to talk about how your feeling and what you're going through. The biggest mistake you can make is feeling like crap mentally and hold it all in and let simmer and get worse. I recently found myself feeling like this so decided why not document it in a podcast, after all a part of of my podcast does focus on 'real-life', and it doesn't get much more real than this.
This podcast talks about the experiences I went through and some of the highs of lows of being away for five days getting our most recent HMO ready to be handed over to our agent and successfully let. I can only but say that when your 'why', 'vision' and 'purpose' is so strong it will carry you through some of the harder times and give you the strength you need.
Following on from this is a podcast with the project manager who handled this significant renovation and conversation from start to finish. My PM talks about his background and how it is to manage a project for a distant based client. I talk about the pros of employing a project manager and how, without him, I would have struggled to get this project finished.
