Star Wars: Comics In Canon - Ep 18: Lando Before Empire Strikes Back & How Lobot Became Mute
This week Mike talks about the 5 issue mini-series about Landonis Balthazar Calrissian (now you see why he shortens it) and his antics set before Empire Strikes Back, involving stealing Palpatine’s prized yacht the “Imperialis”, alien clones, the emperor’s royal guard, more info about Lando’s bestie Lobot and a healthy dose of of Lando’s trademark charm!
The Lando comics were written by Charles Soule, the artist is Alex Maleev and the colourist is Paul Mounts. Issue #1 was released July 2015, issue #5 was October 2015. The trade paperback collection was released January 2016 and the 3-series collection “Heroes For A New Hope” featuring the Princess Leia, Lando & Chewbacca comics was released in November 2016.
