HelLo you fabulous fiction loving folks of audio loving joy
Hope you are having a groovy fun filled day in whatever way gets you through this current crazy....
On release day here in the Uk it is a beautiful sunny day, and the world turns with us still on it, I often think of myself sitting here typing something or editing something and then zshumm up to see me as a birds eye view, typing, editing, then up further to see my house from the sky, then up further to see the country from space, then up further to see the planet revolving, and then zshumm back down in mini speed bursts to each distance increment back to me typing here through my eyes. . And that's some mindfulness right there. You've just done it too. Groovy...
So today's ep still focuses on elements of my life journey with eczema. What treatments I have had, things I have felt and thought and felt through the eyes of Charlie in the audio fiction segment, as well as in my own words.
The wonderful Julia Wheeler joins us once again to give top tips on how to help yourself if you have this condition. I do hope this is useful -do contact us via quirkyvoice@gmail.com if you want to feedback anything that has been helpful, or resonated with you in any of the episodes, or if you just want to say halloooo...doooo!
Thanks to Matt Hutt and Zak Lemon for the grooviest of music.
As usual, all links mentioned are on the Quirky Voices website (click here) for alllll the conditions explored in this season.
Thanks so much to my wondrous cast - today you only really heard from the fantabulous Lucy Shirley as Rachel and Lara Parker as Gabby, and Fiona Thraille as Jill, who also executive produces this podcast. You can also find her own audio fiction awesome on the Dashing Onions Website here.
Still gotta thank Diane Alexander, and Kirstin Stansfield for their general awesome and support. I am sure you will agree all the contributors are amazing for sharing their stories, and their courageousness in doing so has only been to help folks like you! As folks have continually told me, real life stories resonate the most...and use of verbatim moments and playing with dramatic fiction to highlight the reality of these conditions has seemingly been very effective to bring home elements of the true reality of living with these conditions.
Thanks to my parents and fam for supporting me through my life’s crazy, and to my man and my kids who just lift me, make me laugh, make me proud, help me through my bad times and make my life so much more.
Hope your day is a good one....and if you are having a crazy flare up right now, by reading this sentence, I am sending you vibes of good health and happiness and healing.
Drink water. Go moisturise and....look after yourself yeah?
