John Anderson and Stephen Hicks - Postmodernism and Nazism
This week we continue with the introduction to our topic Getting a World That Does Not Get it. Over the last two weeks we have explored why our Christian faith is held in derision by some. This week we look at the philosophies of modernism and postmodernism which have dominated our secular culture in the recent past. We are listening in to a conversation between Professor Stephen Hicks and John Anderson. Professor Hicks is a Canadian-American philosopher who teaches at Rockford University in Illinois. He provides insights into why western democracies are experiencing increasing social conflict.
We want to commend John Anderson’s extensive series called Conversations with John Anderson to you. If you go to his webpage you will find many more great interviews there - johnanderson.net.au
Please also make sure you check out the CEC website for helpful resources to understand out culture, including how cultural Marxism is a serious and growing threat to the church and practical advice for how Christians can discuss these issues.
Christians Engaging Culture exists to equip the Christians to give faithful answers in everyday cultural conversations and to turn those conversations to the gospel.
