If you have a 2020 turkey license for KS (and maybe even in other States), you probably received an e-mail from the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks, and Tourism regarding a genetics study regarding wild turkeys, and the opportunity for hunters to participate in that study by providing feather samples from their harvested birds to help increase the overall sample size of birds looked at. In this podcast, Chris sits down and chats with Amanda Beckman, the researcher conducting this project (and others), about the genetics study, how folks can get involved, and a whole bunch of other interesting "animal and turkey behavior" topics. It's a great conversation, so tune in, and we hope you enjoy it!
