Richard welcomes filmmaker Rodney Ascher to talk about his documentary, "Room 237" which explores various theories about supposed hidden meanings inside the 1980 psychological horror film, The Shining, produced and directed by Stanley Kubrick. The Shining, some cinephiles theorize is an allegory for the plight of Native Americans. Others, contend its a prism through which Stanley Kubrick examines the Holocaust. And still others suggest the film may be Kubrick's confession to helping the government fake the moon landing.
