Reframing Relationship: Respect and Reciprocity with Bundjalung Brothers Josh & Kyle Slabb
Josh and Kyle Slabb are Bundjalung men who live, fish, surf and raise their families near the fabled sand bottom point break of Fingal Head on the east coast of Australia – where their ancestors have thrived for tens of thousands of years.
The Slabbs are a renowned and respected family among coastal communities all over Australia, for their water prowess, cultural integrity and willingness to share indigenous ways of thinking and relating through their cultural education organization Banaam, which works to empower all Australians through cultural intelligence.
Banaam teaches businesses, organizations and communities how to apply Indigenous principles of communication to create relationships rooted in respect and reciprocal contribution.
