Sacrificing and putting down our flesh is VITAL to hearing the voice of the Holy Spirit. If we are constantly giving ear to what our earthly desires want, we won't long to listen and do what the Holy Spirit is saying. This week, Pastor Earl discusses from scripture what it looks like when we live a life that is constantly putting down our fleshly desires, and the incredible benefits from this lifestyle! Romans 8:5 & 8 say it best, "For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit...if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. BUT, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you."
