Looking for a quiet coastal escape with world-renowned food and historical wonders just a couple of hour's train ride from Rome? Presenting the Cilento Coast! This area is just south of the glamorous Amalfi Coast and is accessible from Salerno.
The pace of life in this part of the world goes .. piano, piano (slowly, slowly) so there's plenty of time to sit in the piazza, enjoy the views out over the Tyrrhenian Sea and try the local specialty - buffalo mozzarella!
