OWNING WHO YOU ARE & Hugging Strangers on TIKTOK (Joe Atang)

As leaders, we often have an idea of how we think things should go.  Joe Atang joins us today and reminds us to trust ourselves and take action. This teaches us to be better even when we currently aren’t where we want to be.

Joe Atang says he is literally your "average joe" who has an incredible passion for people and branding. He is from Houston, Tx (born and raised) but currently living in the Indianapolis IN area. He is the Father of 2 Beautiful Children (Twins: Boy & Girl - Jude + Josslyn) and his partner is Courtney (Whom many of the gang knows). 

His family is from West Africa - Cameroon to be exact. Thanks to the Houston Rockets winning back to back championships, he fell in love with basketball and was fortunate to accomplish his goal/dream of playing all four years of collegiate basketball. 

He thought it would be cool to play basketball overseas, but realized it's cooler to join his mom in business. She is a cosmetologist in the beauty industry and started her salon company in 2009. He graduated from university with a bachelor's degree in business/marketing (thanks to his dad), and immediately began working full-time at Innovative Looks Hair Salon. Since 2011 He has been on a mission to figure out how major companies branded/marketed themselves.

Thanks to Garyvee, he was able to get a better education than he did in university on how to practically brand. In short, because of his influence, he stumbled across tik tok and has built an audience of over 60k friends. His mission at this point of his career is to leverage his platform to bring awareness to the multiple brands he will be promoting, including innovative looks. His ultimate goal in life outside of just being happy and enjoying life is to become best friends with Garyvee.
