The FarrCast : Wealth Strategies
Business:Investing
Markets have stabilized after the tech pullback, but now don't appear to like what Fed Chair Powell had to say this week. The Fed Chairman sees a long, hard road to recovery.
Michael Farr welcomes CNBC's Jim Lebenthal to talk about the recovery, and the prospects for the markets moving forward. Jim says the K-shaped recovery, and "shadow inflation" as real threats to investors. We then turn to Washington, and our senior political analyst, Dan Mahaffee. Dan lays out what has each party worried as we move into the last 50 days of the election season. Dan also says that a new stimulus bill has little chance of passage, though the President has changed the negotiating landscape with his latest tweets.
In our special guest segment, Heather Long, Economics Correspondent of The Washington Post returns for a deep dive beyond the headlines. She has been reporting on the K-shaped recovery, where those holding stocks do well, but much of the working class is left behind. The two-path recovery has serious social and political ramifications, but serous economic consequences as well.
