Dr Stephen Parnis is a prominent Consultant Emergency Physician here in Melbourne, Victoria and former Vice President of the Australian Medical Association. Dr Parnis has recently appeared on A Current Affair along with several news channels, so to me he was first choice for a curious and casual banter about what it's like to be a medical professional in the thick of this worldwide pandemic that is Covid19.
There is a plethora of opinions, conspiracy theories and political views surrounding what we are all experiencing, especially here in Victoria as we endure a lengthy Stage 4 lockdown and harsh restrictions. I sure didn't want this to be a debate on any of the above but merely an insightful chat with some reputable facts and information and an sneak peek into what I can only imagine is an incredibly high pressure and stressful world that is currently the medical world.
