Chase Brown wanted to be a pilot until he found out that his football scholarship at Western Michigan wouldn't cover the $60,000 expenses of their aviation program. Then he transferred to Illinois to play with his twin brother and had to wait out a six-week transfer waiver appeal process. It wasn't until the Friday before Week 7 that the NCAA notified Brown of his transfer waiver approval. The very next day, he took the field for Illinois.
