00:00 - Introduction
02:26 - Main Topic (Cultural Liturgies)
In episode ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY-ONE Mike invites back Rev. Justin Cloute to talk more James K.A. Smith. This time they are joined by Benj Lawrenz for a discussion on Smith’s Cultural Liturgies series. Smith makes the case that humans are, at their core, lovers. He takes it one step further and declares humans liturgical animals. Everybody worships. We are formed (and malformed) by secular liturgies which surround us every day. Justin, Benj, and Mike discuss how this insight changes the way we might look at humanity, culture, worship, and education.
A big thanks to Justin and Benj for joining Mike on this episode.
