The post-modern, ingrained belief is that the preaching of the gospel is done only one way. That is by the seminarian standards of qualified individuals. However, that is not what Jesus had in mind when He gave everyone the charge of the Great commission. When Jesus stood in the temple He said, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him." Which is exactly what He did. Your commission and mine is to do these things with our very lives, and in so doing, we are legging out the gospel in the common daily life. I full believe the days of the mega churches and celebrity pastors are done. Today is the day we begin to preach the gospel with our lives, in everything we do. There is great power in it, as multitudes are deeply lost, desperate, starving and lost. Animate the gospel in everything you do. "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord."
