What miscarriage Is *actually* like with mom and communications’ professional Laura Payton Ep. 55
Laura Payton is a professional communicator with more than 15 years of experience. She spent most of that time as a journalist on Parliament Hill, where she covered everything from the environment to international development.
Laura made the leap to the public service two years ago and is now the acting manager of external strategic communications for the Communications Security Establishment. When she's not working, she's desperately trying to remember what it felt like to have hobbies prior to having a child.
In the spring, Laura bravely shared her experience with miscarriage in Flare magazine. In our interview we have a raw talk about the realities of miscarriage and the changes needed to make this horrific loss easier. We also talk about life during COVID (including pregnancy) and Laura’s career path.
With 1 in 4 to 5 women experiencing a miscarriage, you or someone you know has lived this experience. Laura shares her story in a way that let's other women know that they are not alone. Don't miss this important conversation.
