Land, Sea & Air - Stories from the Armed Forces
Society & Culture:Documentary
Andrea Macfarlane, Military Co-Chair of Defence Mental Health Network
Supporting positive mental health is always important; during lockdown, it’s become essential.
Andrea invites the Defence community to access an imaginative programme of online wellbeing activities by ‘just dialing-in and you’re away’. There’s something for everyone including breathing exercises, meditation for the under fives, and online ‘buddy-buddy chat cafes’.
Andrea also explains how ‘slack-lining’ helped her recovery from illness and restored balance by calming the body and mind and we hear about her postie, and how a little bit of kindness goes a long way.
