In 1274 and 1281, the Mongols launched attempts to invade and conquer Japan. Both attempts failed, due to both the strength and will of the Japanese defense, as well as a timely typhoon that wiped out the Mongol naval forces.

But, what if the Mongols had managed to conquer Japan? What fates would both the Japanese people and culture, as well as that of the Mongol Empire face with yet another major conquest under their belts?
