In the latest episode of the Sports Coaching podcast, I'm joined by Dr Dave Alder, Senior lecturer of Sports Coaching at Leeds Beckett University and Youth Development phase talent reporter for the Football Association. In this episode, we talk 'Perceptual-Cognitive expertise'. Dave shares some of his research into perceptual-cognitive expertise, explaining the effect of these skills on performance from a player/athlete perspective. Dave also highlights some of the key research and findings in this area, as well as sharing some of his methods for creating Perceptual-Cognitive expertise in our players/athletes from his own experience in coaching. A really interesting and insightful listen for any coaches out there!
