What You Need to Know About the New Job Support Scheme!

I hope you are having a positive employment rights week. 

This week we should have been continuing our series… looking in detail at the different types of paid and unpaid leave that you may be entitled to receive at work.  However, this we’re interrupting our schedule to look at the government’s new Job Support Scheme, which is the new scheme that will replace the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme, which is scheduled to come to an end on 31/10/2020.

The main thrust of the Job Support Scheme or the JSS, is to bring people back to work from furlough on shorter hours, by give employers an alternative to making workers redundant.  The JSS will offer employers an opportunity to be able to pay workers for worker shorter hours across their normal weekly working hours.  So in this week’s episode of the podcast, we look at the top seven key points you need to know about, to update yourself about the JSS and how the JSS works.
