P30 The 10 Different Types of Time Off From Work You Need to Know About

I hope you’re having a positive employment rights week.

This week… as we start to move back into employment proper, we’re going to look at the ten different types of time off from work that you need to know about.

Time off from work is one of the most contested areas of a workers working life, and the reasons for this are because a lot of employers and most workers are not fully aware of the different types of leave, nor the entitlement criteria that surrounds that leave - and because of this, workers lose out on legal leave entitlement and paid leave entitlement, to the tune of £9 billion per year.

This week we take a brief look at the different types of entitlement.  In the next few podcasts, we will then look at each of these areas in more detail.
