When You're Boss's Behaviour Turns You Into a Whistleblower!

I hope you’re having a productive week.

This week, we continue our discussion about unethical behaviour at work – only this week, we look at the far more serious topic of whistleblowing.  Whistleblowing, or to use its legal name, public interest disclosure, is far more serious than unethical conduct - why - because there is a whole law that surrounds the protection of workers who make disclosures about their bosses or companies because they believe that if they stay silent, people could be harmed or could even die from the illegal behaviour of their bosses or companies.

In this episode, we look at the four different types of disclosures you can make and we also look at what you can do if you make a disclosure and your employer begins to treat you in a negative way, because you made that disclosure.

The key here is that although attempts may be made to silence you, you need to decide whether the decision you make to expose wrongdoing, is the right one.
