Wednesday What would I do - Multiple Sclerosis
Question:
I was diagnosed with MS in December 2015 and I had my second MS attack July 2017 but since June 2017 I’ve been experiencing pain and also a lot of discomfort inside the right side of my neck/ throat. I’ve had ultrasounds done on my neck to check thyroids, check the dobler and I’ve had a CT on the back of my necks CT on my chest blood tests and everything has come back fine. The only thing that keeps coming back positive and high is my D-Dimmer but after a Ct check on my chest it’s all fine and the doctor and or hospital will send me home. I’ve seen the cardiologist as well as my heart rate is always high and when I say high ranges between 90-125 sometimes 130 I’ve had my heart checked and it’s all fine. I’ve also seen a respirator doctor as I struggle with my breathing because the pain on the right side of my throat/ neck makes me struggle to breath along side it. Respiratory doctor 2 years said all was fine. I’ve also seen a ears, nose and throat doctor and said all was fine.
I’ve been seeing a psychiatrist and I’m on multiple medication to try and control my anxiety. I’ve been on a lot of different anxiety and depression medication nothing seems to help me elevate the pain and me struggling to breath all the time. I don’t know what to do... I need this pain and discomfort gone as I feel like I have anxiety because I’m constantly feeling these pains and that’s were anxiety is coming from.
I’m grateful that my tests are coming back fine but I’m scared that this pain is some sort of referring pain and the doctors can’t tell me what’s wrong with me. I’m scared and worried I have a tumour or cancer some where in my body that’s causing me to feel like this and experience what I am. Oh I forgot to and... that I’m seeing a neurologist for a second opinion and doesn’t believe that my pains and symptoms are related to my Ms but he wants to try and up my Lyrica which is the nerve pain medication for about 6 weeks and if that doesn’t work to trial 3 day steroids in hospital and then steroid medication as well after that for a week.
I’m scared I’ve been feeling like this for 3 years now and it is constant and I don’t know what to do. Please help me.!!!
