Therapists Are People Too (T.A.P.T.)
Health & Fitness:Mental Health
In this week's episode, we tackle the very real issue of friendships and how our friendships have changed over time through our lives and how that impacts the work that we do.
When friendships change in ways that we don't expect it to, it can feel a bit unsettling and painful as it changes. Even with friendships we still need to have boundaries, we need to be able to have hard conversations with our friends and we need to nurture them. Being a therapist we expend a lot of energy, so be selective in creating your friendship circle.
Key takeaways from this episode include:
1. Friendships are crucial for our well-being and self-care.
2. Say no to friendships that absorb too much of your energy and don't reciprocate.
3. Friendships are the one relationships that you can choose, so be mindful.
