The COVID-19 pandemic has raised a number of important questions about the future of the EU. In his address to the IIEA, Minister Donohoe reflects on some of the key economic debates taking place in Europe at the moment, and discusses the pragmatic role that Ireland can play in shaping the EU post-COVID-19.
This event is part of the IIEA’s Future of the EU27 Project, which is supported by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

Paschal Donohoe is T.D. for Dublin Central and has been Minister for Finance & Public Expenditure and Reform since June 2017. Prior to that, he served as Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform from May 2016. He also previously served as the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport and Minister of State for European Affairs. Minister Donohoe was elected as a T.D. for Dublin Central in February 2011. He was a member of Seanad Éireann from 2007 to 2011.
