Drought is expanding throughout the country, but especially here in the Western United States. We have the ugly numbers. The USDA has released the latest forecasts for several important California farm commodities, including fruits, nuts and rice. And Citrus growers in California are still evaluating the effect of smoke, wildfire, haze and heat on their 2020 crop. And so far, it looks like heat is taking its toll on the state’s orange crop.
