Myra and I spoke before the COVID-19 Pandemic became a serious social and public health emergency. However, it’s been several weeks since I last put out the podcast, and I know I’ve found respite in the podcasts I love in the last few days. Taking dog walking breaks and listening to shows that have nothing to do with the pandemic have been healing for me - so in case The Teaching Yoga Podcast can be that for you right now - here is an episode with an incredible woman and teacher, Myra Lewin.
Myra is the founder and director of Hale Pule - a Yoga & Ayurveda training centre and space for healing. I’ve been following Myra’s work for quite some time through her podcast Everyday Ayurveda and Yoga.
As I think you can tell in the interview Myra is someone that I really admire, because as far as I can tell, she runs an incredibly successful business, yet truly LIVES the principles of Ayurveda and yoga.
Myra has been practicing and teaching Yoga and Ayurveda for over 30 years, is the author of two books - Freedom In Your Relationship To Food and Simple Ayurvedic Recipes. Hale Pule is also a teaching space, and each year Myra and her team lead numerous professional training in Yoga & Ayurvedic studies.
I was most excited to speak with Myra about how yoga & ayurveda can help us age with grace.
*Please note - in the actual audio podcast I mention that Hale Pule also has an organic farm. While that was true when their center was located in Hawaii, their new home in New Zealand will have an abundant garden instead.
