Ep 15: John Thayer talks to David Herbster, Dalton Godfrey, Gary Rima and Joe Van Goor
John Thayer sits down with University of South Dakota Athletics Director David Herbster, Coyote long-snapper Dalton Godfrey, the voice of Northern Iowa Gary Rima and the voice of the Coyotes Joe Van Goor.
DAVID HERBSTER - University of South Dakota Athletics Director talks about basketball season that is right around the corner. What goes into his travel schedule as he plans what games to attend? Football has turned things around and won three straight. And why does USD move home games/matches to Sioux Falls?
DALTON GODFREY - After being recruited as a linebacker in his home state, Dalton Godfrey became a long snapper at USD. Not only did he move away from home, but Godfrey turned down an offer to play for Mark Farley, a family friend. Why did Godfrey choose South Dakota and what led him to the road of being a long snapper instead of a linebacker?
GARY RIMA - The long time Voice of the Panthers talks about UNI's difficult schedule that has led to a 3-3 start. What is the challenge in the running game for the offense? Why are the Panthers so good defensively?
JOE VAN GOOR - The Coyotes have won three straight and now look at a bigger challenge with Northern Iowa. South Dakota needs a signature win and the UNI-Dome is a tough place to play.
